Bamboo is one of nature's most remarkable resources. Unlike conventional cotton farming, which depletes soil and requires harmful pesticides, our bamboo cultivation actively regenerates ecosystems and enriches the earth.

Bamboo requires up to 60–80% less water than conventional cotton. This reduced water footprint supports resource conservation at a foundational level—protecting ecosystems and reducing strain on vulnerable water sources.
Carbon negative
Bamboo absorbs 35% more CO₂ than equivalent trees and releases more oxygen into the atmosphere. Our bamboo forests sequester tons of carbon annually, actively fighting climate change.
Rapid regeneration
Bamboo grows up to 91 cm (3 feet) per day, yielding significantly more fibre per hectare than cotton. This efficiency reduces pressure on forests and farmland, creating space for biodiversity and supporting healthier, more regenerative agricultural systems.
Naturally resilient
Bamboo grows naturally resilient, requiring little to no pesticides. This protects soil health, safeguards nearby waterways, and reduces chemical runoff that can harm surrounding communities and wildlife.
Zero waste
Every part of the bamboo plant is utilized. What doesn't become fabric is composted or used for other sustainable products, creating a truly circular production cycle.
Certified Production
SELENEY partners exclusively with certified production facilities, including those holding MADE IN GREEN by OEKO-TEX® certification. This ensures that our garments are made in facilities that meet rigorous standards across multiple dimensions.
Giving Back
5% of profits from the Kalypso Collection support The Ocean Cleanup. By contributing directly to large-scale ocean restoration initiatives, we help remove plastic from waterways while investing in long-term systemic change.
Planting Trees
For every written review, we plant a tree in partnership with Trees for All. This initiative restores ecosystems, strengthens biodiversity, and turns community engagement into measurable environmental impact.
Responsible Packaging
All packaging is either recycled, recyclable, or compostable. By prioritizing circular materials, we reduce waste until the final stage of delivery and extend responsibility beyond the garment itself.
Efficient Logistics
From production to warehouse, we limit non-recyclable materials to an absolute minimum. Where protective plastic remains necessary for sea freight, we consolidate packaging—transporting sets in groups of 32 instead of individually—to significantly reduce overall waste.
Carbon-Neutral Shipping
We offset emissions from every shipment through partnering with Shopify Planet. By investing in certified carbon removal projects, we reduce the footprint of our delivery while supporting the transition to a lower-carbon economy.
In the Loop
We choose to get our sets produced in China, since that's closest to bamboo cultivation areas. By doing so, we're reducing unnecessary transport and associated emissions. Each partner meets strict requirements and hold internationally recognised certifications, such as the OEKO-TEX®.
